Help please.. my daughter has a band gold shirt and my son got black mud all over it .. cant get it out..?
Question:do you know what i could use that wont hurt the color.. the shirt is 50% cotton 50% polyester... please help she needs this shirt tomorrow for a concert.

black dirt? may be full of petroleum type stuff,, use 'Dawn' dish soap,, use a lot and let it soak,, then wash thoroughly
Use a stain remover. Leave it set one minute and wash in cold water with detergent. If it is still stained...repeat.

Try using a mechanics hand cleaner like the "Orange" hand cleaner from AutoZone. Rub some of it into the stain, and then wash it.
try using baking soda and do not dry it till the stain is out, the heat will set it and you wont be able to get it out.mix a paste with cold water and baking soda***
Peroxide should take it out without hurting the color. Test it in an unseen spot first.
Spray and Wash or shout should work also. Just let it sit for a while before washing.
