What's the difference between all these dryer setting like whites and colors, permanent press and woolen?
Question:
Answers:
amount of heat used and time it takes to dry
Of course it 's all about heat and temp. but why wouldn't you want the options to make sure you are properly drying your clothes? Read your clothing tags and follow the directions. It couldn't be more simple. The same with washing. At least we have those tags now to help make the right decisions. Years ago it was all guess work.
To be honest most of the difference is in the price you pay for it. All you need is a hi-med-lo setting and the timer. The dryer drum doesn't go any slower on delicate or air dry, it is the degree of the heat that saves more delicate fabrics. Setting the time for a lower time will also help fabrics. If you dry stuff 80% or 90% you can hang them or shape them on a towel to dry the rest.
