Why do my clothes pegs never last long?

Question:they end up pinging all over the garden...how about you?

Answers:
cuse you use vanish in the wash.

Tie a burlap bag or something similar, and after you use the pins, put them back into the bag. :)
I have same problem. First the wood dries out. Second, it's the way they are made, any lateral force will cause them to come undone. I tried plastic ones, they were worse, plastic dried out before the wood. Answer is bring them indoors with the dried laundry.I guess. I just buy new ones.
my dog might eat yours as well.
I think perhaps they are crying out to you , be gentle with me.
duno i dnt think ive hd dat problem
clothes pegs along with many items can to be made to last,
but due to cost and to keep turn over going they are made to have a short life, therefore u buy more and the wheels of industry keep turning
My clothes pins last for years.
I use the wood ones with the spring action.
They do pop apart when the wind is wild.
I keep them in a little bucket and haul them in and out with the laundry. So they are not out all the time.
I also have a few I use to reclose plastic bags like the bread, chips or cereal are in.
unprotected?
Mine always last. I bring them in with the washing.
I think the old fashioned dolly pegs are the best , you don´t get the rust marks from the metal springs on your clothes, and they last a lot longer. You don´t find them around that much, I also use the bigger coloured type peg´s . they seem to last longer than the wooden ones
