Can the ingrediants of prickly heat powder react with detergents and damage the cotton fibres while washing?

Question:Dear All,
For last few months I find my cotton underwears are getting damaged when they are washed in my Sumeet cloth wasing machine i.e.blackish dots in diff areas.Usually I sprincle Nycil brand prickly heat powder in this summer.I have a feeling that the powder ingradients reacts with the deterget ingradients and part of the knitwear is damaged-could the knitwear fibres are a mix of cotton plus?
Thanks.
Jitu

Answers:
Highly unlikely.

The active ingredients in prickly heat powders are in too small a dose to cause any damage to cellulose. If they were that reactive there will be more damage to the living skin.

The cause must be elsewhere.

May be chemical reaction. Try to wash them with hands & not using a washing machine & dry them in shade.
It's very highly unlikely but watch for a chemical reaction!
try not using nycil and see what happens
sounds more like a hardwater issue
