How can I get oil out of my linen pants?

Question:I was cooking and got oil and water on my linen pants...how can I get it out before tomorrow?

Answers:
Dawn dish washing liquid and if if that doesn't work and you decide you are going to throw them away after trying everything else...

get a can of brake cleaner (Brakleen) or Gunscrubber in a can the ingredient is tetrachloroethylene which is molecularly similar to dry cleaning fluid - perechloroethylene.

place a towel under the stained section of pants and SOAK the stain letting the towel absorb the excess spray.

This is a last resort as it can leave a ring or even remove some of the dye in fabrics.

Does it work? I have saved myself many many times.

You will probably never get the stain out. I've gotten oils on some of my clothes before and it was hopeless! Try your local cleaners. They may have some good advice...maybe even get the stain out for you. Good luck!
go to the auto store and get orange pumace
Turn the pants inside out and pour white vinegar over the spot from the inside. Try several times until the greasy part is gone. Then wash by hand and line dry to check stain.
Take some shampoo to it. Rub it in, let it set for a few minutes, then rinse it out. :)
I have always had good luck with corn starch. It absorbs the oil. Let it set after applying for a few minutes. Brush off with a soft bristle brush. You may have to reapply for a second try. Good Luck ! It goes on in it's original state.
