How to stop my shirt from getting smaller?
Question:I buy 5 shirts at Footlocker and they're all 100% cotton and they're fine when i where them for the first time but after my mom washes it it always gets smaller the length gets smaller and so does the sleeve length i always have to stretch them so i can feel comfortable how can i stop them from getting smaller? Just wash them and then dont dry them in the dryer? What should i do?

Okay, here's the plan. Do your own laundry. Mom isn't washing in cold water, and drying on a very low/cool setting. Not putting them in the dryer would be optimal, but very time consuming. Do you have a line to dry them on? Mom is probably doing every-body's laundry and doesn't have the time or inclination to do your stuff differently. Step up and do your own. Good luck.
when you buy 100% cotton shirts, buy them preshrunk. If you can't do this then buy 2 sizes too big of the shirt you like and then you can wash and dry away.
Hot water not cold
Wash in cold water, it won't shrink as much. Also, air dry, don't put `em in the dryer.
Dont dry. Put fabric softener in the wash and then put the clothes on hangers and hang dry. Dont let your mom do your laundry if she wont do that for you.
Wash in cold water using a mild detergent. Hang or lay flat to dry. Do NOT put them in the dryer!
Do not tumble dry them - drip dry - or iron back into shape whilst damp. Tumble drying will shrink them.
you have to air dry it or hand it up dont put it in the machine after you wash it.
