Whats a reliable washer/dryer that isnt too expensive?
Question:not a hotpoint thanks, have one and its a total disaster
Answers:
Get a Bosch. Its parts are also used to build NASA spacecrafts. It is a great washing machine and you can stuff tons of clothes in it for one washing and it gets them all clean! The washer costs about $800.00 and the dryer is a little less.
Also, it is VERY quiet. You won't even hear it running.
ha! i was just gonna say anything but hotpoint cos of the e13 manufacture problem they have with washer/dryers!
Kenmore or Whirlpool.
You should get a separate washer and separate dryer because I once bought a washer-dryer two-in-one ( don't remember the brand) and had nothing but trouble with it since the day I got it.
to be honest i wouldnt buy 1, because if your dryer packs up you cant use your washer, and the same the other way round. ( if you're in the uk) if cash is the problem then you can buy really good cheapish washers(creda£200+) and dryers(white knight£80ish), if space is a problem then you can buy a compact dryer(£60 asda) i have 1 and it does a family of 3 quite well. xx
Never buy a combined washer dryer. They are all trouble. A separate washer and tumble dryer is much better. You don't have to pay the earth. Look in Argos , there are some good bargains there,,.. Funny you say that about hotpoint . I have a washer and a separate dryer and they have given good service for 7 or 8 years now, All I have had to do is replace the brushes to the washer motor twice. Perhaps their individual machines are better than the combination.. Both my sons have had washer dryers and have had problems Both have changed to separates. Unless room is very critical I would suggest you do the same.
