Question about my washing machine?
Question:i have a ge profile washing machine. it has these controls that i don't understand. under "7 cycles" or something, its like "warm warm, cold cold, hot cold, cold cold" and some others. what does it mean when it says "hot cold"? does it mean that the first half of the wash cycle is hot water, then the second half is cold water? and how does that effect your clothes?
Answers:
It means it washes with hot water and rinses with cold.
I wash everything on warm (unless it is really grungy, then I use hot) and rinse everything on cold.
The first is the wash temp the second the rinse temperature. Mostly you would want to use warm/cold, warm washes better without and cold rinse will save you hot water bills.
Yes if it says hot cold it means it will wash in hot and rinse in cold. warm warm means warm wash and warm rinse. Pick the cycle for the type of clothes you are washing, if you have kids and there clothers are grubby dirty wash in hot to remove the dirt and cold to rinse.
