How to clean walls with Satin paint?
Question:My walls are antique white but since my fiance smokes inside, the walls look dingy and stained. There are also smudges on the walls. What can I use to clean and brighten up the walls without the satin paint rubbing off?

When we smoked in the house I cleaned the walls regularly with Pine Sol. You should rinse the walls with a clean rag and plain water after you're satisfied they are clean. Pine Sol took the residue off and made the house smell better (notice I did not say smell good). The best solution is have the fiance find a place to smoke outside. I do a lot less house cleaning now that we don't allow smoking inside AND spend a lot less money on air fresheners and cleaning supplies.
soap and water wont hurt it and neither will most cleaners thats safe on paint it will tell you on the bottle what it can be used on but satin water based paint is washable
