How to get blue ink out of clothes?
Question:Well...after doing my laundry, I was pulling clothes out of they dryer when I noticed that a bunch of them had little blue marks on them from a pen, which I found after folding a few more shirts, that was hiding in the pocket of my scrubs from work...
So being that most stain removers are supposed to go on BEFORE the clothes are already washed and dried, does anyone know anything I can do/use to get the blue ink stains out of my clothes?
Thank you SO much!

hmmm... don't know if it will work, now that the ink is set, but try saturating with hairspray and work the material really well. You'll need to do this at the sink, because the ink will spread and you need to wash it out quickly.
Hairspray works pretty well. I put some on a white towel or wash cloth and then blot the pen mark. (Don't rub or you'll make the spot bigger.) Once the spot gets soaked with the hairspray, put another white towel underneath the stain and keep blotting. The bottom towel will absorb some of the ink, too. It depends on the ink, but it usually comes off with a little effort (and sometimes a lot of hairspray) even after a run through the dryer. Then rewash the garment to get out the remaining ink and the hairspray. I've done this several times as my husband consistently fails to remove the pens from the pockets of his uniform. Hope it helps you!
I use Shout! triple acting spray. It gets tough stains like blood out. but you have to use that before you wash. You could try one of thoes stain remover pens. I have heard about them, but never tried them. my friends swear by them.
I don't know how much luck you will have getting a set stain out. after a few more washes, the stains will fade.
use rubbing alcohol and cotton balls and start dabbing from inside of the garment FIRST! Then do the same on the outer side. Replace cottonballs frequently! Be patient . . .it'll work!
Hairspray works before washing, hopefully will work now too. Years ago when I was a nurse aide and had to wear white uniforms, I had several ink marks around my pockets. Luckily I lived by my grandma who taught me the hairspray trick. Never failed!
Good Luck!!
try soaking the stains in milk, it works wonders even on permanent markers, got all the stains out of my daughters white blouse, and it was a huge stain.
