What's a really good windows cleaner,( No,NOT Windex)?
Question:I need something that takes those tough water stains out,the original Windex just doesn't do it though.Any recomendations anyone?

THE BEST WINDOW CLEANER
Make a great all-purpose window cleaner by combining 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon liquid soap or detergent, and 2 cups of water in a spray bottle. Combine in a spray bottle. Shake to blend.
As for hard water stains it is very difficult unless you havew an acid to literally burn it off. I know we have extremely hard water here and literally nothing will get it off the shower doors short of them coming with their special acid solution that you cannot buy at any store to get it off. Let me tell you it is toxic too!!
In college, the cleaning lady always cleaned the glass hallways with a mixture of vineger and water. While it worked very well, in the wintertime, no one could take advantage of the winter sun due to the strong smell. I hate that smell to this day.
Try car wax,I know on my car windows it works great and they don't have to be washed before hand,try it on your home windows.
Rubbing alcohol works very, very well!
Clear Ammonia mixed in the ratio of 1 tablespoon to one quart of the hottest water you can stand to work with.
After you have cleaned the window and rinsed it, get as much excess water off as you can and use newspaper to bring it to a shine.
With a rag & equal parts of pariffan & methylated spirits. this will rid the mark´s. then wash with warm water and a touch of vinegar, use news paper to clean, remember to wear gloves whilst doing both thing´s . I say this as the news paper leave dye on your hand´s & normal you use gloves whilst using the other liquid. Oh yes No streak´s with news paper
Hot soapy water and a good rag- then go over them again with metholated spirits on a rag, to get a good shine.

White vinegar is the best window cleaner i have found and its easier if you buy a flat window cleaner scraper,its so quick.
White vinegar is the absoluyte best thing for cleaning windows. Most people dilute 50/50 with water, but I use it neat. It is also wonderful for shower screens. It cuts down soap scum is a natural antiseptic and also a mould and mildew retardant.

I own and operate a cleaning service and we use a vinegar, water and dishwashing liquid mix. We also use newspaper to dry. With some of our clients that have hard water stains, I will usually use a rag and amonia (for shower doors) rinse and clean with the mix.
