How to get rid of bad smell in the bathroom?
Question:We put so many staff to reduce the smell but it doesn't work. It so stinky.
Answers:
gas and a match
some places have automatic air fresheners installed that spray every 10 or 15 minutes. you should try that.
Open a window. Turn on a fan. Leave the room. Not really much else you can do. Generally spraying perfumes/air fresheners just make it smell even worse because the bad smell mixes with floral scents.
1. Hey, do you sometimes urine on the bathroom floor? Avoid it if so.
2. Boil water, add a powdered soap like Omo or nomi (if u have it in your country) smeared in the bathroom floor then pour the hot water. The smell will go.
3. Or are the pipes filled up with 5year old dirt?
Check this all.
If you have cleaned the toilet, sink, tub and floor, your problem may be behind the walls. If it smells like mildew or mold check for loose caulk or grout. Also check the wax ring at the base of your toilet. It could be sewer gas which is a dangerous situation. It is explosive. You may also need to check under the sink base for leaks which will produce mold/mildew.
find out where the smell is coming from, if it is in the shower clean thoroughly with bleach, if it is from the toilet area. clean with pinesol, and if it ismold from the moldingin the walls, use bleach on them , if it is from the drains. put pine sol down the drains. wash the floors and the walls. real well with **** and span. or paint the walls to get rid of the mildew odor.
i had this happen to me once, and my problem was a leaking sewer pipe right under the bathroom. so have your plumbing checked out under the house, especially right under the bathroom.
if its urine smell the toilet is likely leaking underneath and the wooden sub floor is getting soaked with it, you need a new toilet wax ring and likely a new wooden subfloor
Well since you did not state where the smell is emanating then I am guessing it is coming from either your sink drain or behind your toilet, it could be a leaky tank or under the toilet and it is soaking the floor boards under your carpeting if you have carpeting if it is linoleum then it could be under this, you should drain and remove toilet and check under the toilet for warped floor boards and moisture, then have the floor boards replaced before the floor is very damaged or crumbles, if it is the sink drain then all it needs is cleaning, you can clean this by adding one cup of White Vinegar and half cup of Baking soda and half cup of table salt to the drain, then pour down boiling water and either leave over night or wait about three hours then flush down with hot water then cold, if odor is still emanating then repeat those steps given above, this will clean the drain and be less expensive than drain cleaners. Good Luck !
