How do i remove melted plastic off of my wire rack?

I don't know what a "wire rack" is, but. coincidentally, I just bought a heat gun today to remove paint around my house. It's basically a kick-butt hair dryer. They heat to around 1100 degrees, and one of those might do the job for you. (Don't try to use one to dry your hair, LOL!) They cost around $30-$60, that's probably more than you're willing to spend, and you could buy one in most any hardware store, but it would probably do the job for you.

How about a paint scraper and then sandpaper?
