Detergent- liquid or power, why?
Question:I like the liquid, it breaks down and spreads through the clothes quicker.
Answers:
liquid also works for pretreating. However, powder is cheaper usually.
I use powder since I find it stronger for the clothes.
and liquid is my fabric softener.
and for the dryer I use bounce sheets.
I use liquid because it is already dissolved and works good. I have a high efficiency washer and haven't seen any powder for it.
i use liquid because i have a front loading washer and the powder doesn't always dissolve in the dispenser and so it becomes a wet mass of soap in there. ewwww
powder for sheets, towels and socks...gets them clean and is less expensive
liquid for darks and finer fabrics...less abrasion so less wear on the fabrics
powder it cleans better
i like power, it work better to me.
Liquid is easier to use if you wash in cold water...powder doesn't dissolve that well in cold water and leaves lumps of detergent usually. Powder is usually cheaper though if you're counting pennies and works good in warm or hot water.
I was always a powder girl myself, until recently a the simple reason is that powder doesn't always dissolve and sometimes I get "ikky" looking stains on my nice clean clothes and I have to wash them again. GO Liquid,.
I use liquid laundry detergent because the powder has to brake down. I have used the powder before and I have had to run it again because the powder didn't all brake down.
I use liquid because I have an HE machine. When I had my top loader I would use either, but found that the powder caked up ! I prefer liquid.
