How do you get blood out of carpet???
Question:My dogs nose is bleeding and the parents aren't home and I would sort of like to get it out before they come home.
Answers:
Blot it with cold water, it should come up.
I have used hydrogen peroxide to lift fresh blood from a light colored carpet. (It foams and you blot the blood out.)
I probably wouldn't try this with a dark colored carpet.
Windex!! Trust me..
Get a paper towel and wet it with the coldest water you can get (if you don't have any in your fridge, use cold tap water). Blot it on the place where the blood is (before it dries if possible), and keep on doing so until the blood comes out. If your carpet is LIGHT (not any dark colors), try putting some bleach on it if it really doesn't come out. You could also try those bleach pens. If you have time and your house is close to a store, just run out and get those bottles of soapy stuff that promise to get wine, grape juice, blood, and many more unerasable substances out of your carpet.
If this happens again put cold water on it as soon as possible. It will keep it from drying and will allow you to rinse and blot the blood out of the carpeting.
Use hydrogen peroxide, it with take it out and then whip a cup of 1/2 cup of water with detergent, until you can just use the suds, and sponge the suds on the stain and pat dry with paper towel, Make sure you dry as much as you can. You can even try a blow dryer.
