What's the best way to get the smell of cigarette smoke out of your clothes?
Question:my parents smoke, and it doesn't look like they'll stop anytime soon.So what's a good way to get the smoke smell out of my clothes?

Make sure you keep your bedroom door closed! Do your own laundry (if you don't already) and make sure your clothes make it into your room right out of the dryer. Put a dryer sheet in your dresser drawers, this keeps your drawers smelling like clean laundry! If you're not hanging out in your room, when you leave the house spray yourself with some sort of "febreeze." I recommend getting the kind that is made for cigarette smoke, if you look in the auto section of any major retail store, they should sell febreeze like spray for cars...this would work great as it's made to keep cars smelling great for people that smoke. One more thing to invest in for your room is an air purifier. They make ones specially made for cigarette smoke. This will help keep your room fresh and smelling clean!
Wash them
febreeze
Spray your clothes with Febreeze! It works great.
wash them....i like tide laundry detergent with febreeze.
Stop smoking.
febreze is probably the best or cologne
wash them or have them dry-cleaned..
there is no other way to get the smell out, even if you ahve to wash them immediatly before you put them on..
you might want to put plastic bags ( garbage bags will work ) over them after you put them on a hanger and hang them in a closet with the door shut..be sure to tie the bottom of the bag with a twist tie or even a knot will work if you dont have anything else,.,.
Fabreeze
Try hanging them outside over night
Try keeping a good air freshner in your closets
I was gonna say wash it, but . . . Ur parents smoke... so that's prob. in the house too huh erm there was this anti tobacco unscented air freshener by arm & hammer that I usto use on my jacket B4 comming home, it seemed to work & my mom has one hell'v a nose (all my friends smoke) dsnt bother me, but yea mommayHhh lolll, U could also try convincing Ur parents to smoke out side 'blah blah "health haserd" blah blah' *winkaty wink*
I use Fa-breeze for people who come to my house with cigarette smoke because I can't stand smoke in my clothes or furniture either.
Try using a really nice scented detergent like Tide with febreze. It smells really nice. Or try asking someone who works in a laundry mat.
On a show similar to "Mythbusters" they found that by putting Vodka in a spray bottle and spritzing the clothes before washing them helped with the smokey smell. Worth a try!
If you're talking about the clothes you are wearing right now, then thats impossible. You'll have to take them off and wash them. Also when you wash them, try using liquid fabric softener (on the final spin), instead of the dryer sheets. The liquid will last longer!
try not to be around them when they are smoking if they can't respect not smoking around you , but I would leave the room cause second hand smoke kills anyway .
