Is there any way to get the smell of cigarette smoke out of books?

Question:

Answers:
I haven't tried it, but I've heard fabric softner sheets in the front and back will work.

You could try sprinkling on some baking soda, leaving it for a few hours then dusting it off. Baking soda is safe to use on most surfaces.
You could try wrapping them in newspaper and placing them in a box or bag for a time AND or use charcoal.

Newspaper and charcoal absorb oder.
I know that if you leave a few bowls of white vinegar around a room, it does help remove the cigarette odor. Maybe you can put the books in one place and leave a few bowls of vinegar near them, to help remove the odor, as vinegar is an odor eater. A large bin or a very large box might help.
