How do I get water stains out of my microfiber upholstery?

Question:I have a sofa that is a rich reddish color so it's kind of dark. It has water stains and I'm wondering if there's anything I can use to get them out or lighten them that won't discolor the rest of the upholstery? Any experts out there?

Answers:
try using a dishwashing liquid, vinegar, and warm water with a terry cloth towel. if at all possible, combine cleaning solution in a spray bottle and apply sparingly (you want to also use an equal amount of water, dawn, and vinegar) you do not want to oversaturate the material, or use sudsy water, use only enough to remove the stain, after treating the stain, allow to air dry, and treat the sofa with scotch guard every three months, this will allow you to remove the stains easier the next time.
