Why do persil washing tablet bags have a blue foam triangle at the edge of the bag?

Question:this is driving me crzy!!

I think it is something to do with the dye in clothes. If you have clothes that run then this will absorb it so not to ruin you other clothes.

Not sure but it could be to soak up any colour that comes from clothes? Prob wrong but that's my guess.
