Many cleaners leave a residue on the tile surface that looks like a smearing coating. You can clean effectively with warm water. A good neutral cleaner for tile is 1 gallon warm water, 2 tablespoons of ammonia and 1 tablespoon of borax.
Never use a sponge mop. It works like a squeegee, depositing the dirty water into the grout tracks. Use a rag or chamois-type mop. Rinse mop frequently and change the water as it becomes dirty. If you have a gloss finish tile dry it with a terry rag.
Never use vinegar, it is an acidic and will eventually etch the grout.
