After a trip to the cleaners my beige sweater has gray rings under the arms. Possibly a chemical reaction?
Question:Has anyone safely removed this from clothing? I have tried hydrogen peroxide which didn't work. Help!
Answers:
It could be the deodorant you are using. I just got a new dark Grey shirt, and put on some liquid secret deodorant. It left rings under my shirt.. I just washed it in the wash-machine and it came right out. I would try a diff rent cleaners. Maybe soak it in some water and try washing the under arm like that. It should not hurt it. Then you could always let it air dry. Good luck.
I worked in a Dry Cleaners for four years, and this was a very common sight, even in my own clothing.
It is a combination of your deodorant, and /or your sweat.
Remember each persons sweat is made up of different PH levels, meaning different levels of uria, and other chemicals, hormones, etc.
It is a reaction caused by this and the percloraletherline, the main chemical used in Dry cleaning.
t is not usually correctable. sorry.
