Ariston washing machine?
Question:Can anyone tell me why my ariston washing machine has to fill up to it capacity with water on EVERY fill, its only started doing this in the last week or so. its not cleaning properly due to too much water ...? Help quick got kids uniforms to do by morning !

Ariston washers are not the best for reliability. The cost of repairing it can easily outweigh the value of the machine.
To me it sounds like a faulty float switch that is sticking. It should cut the water supply when it reaches a certain level. They are usually located near the door where it closes. Try giving it a whack in that area, it may free it up from sticking.
If you have to buy a new washer and have limited funds of less than £300, go for a Bosch, and if you shop around you should get a machine with large drum and high spin speed.
