HELP NEEDED URENtLY!?
Question:I put a plastic plate on a hot plate on the oven. I was a grilled cheese sandwich, so there is melted cheese/plastic all over the stove top. I NEED HELP GETTING IT OFF WITH IN THE NEXT 3 HOURS! There is also a smell!

Your mother's coming home, huh? When it's well cooled it should scrape off without too much effort.
Scrape it smoothly using a lot of... patience. To solve the problem of the smell cook some onions in the oven.
Where is your babysitter? That was dumb. Try letting it dry and scraping it off, and spray some febreeze before your mom and dad get home from work.
Pour some of the dish soap onto the cheese and rub it all over, then let it sit for about five minutes. Then, scrub it off using the rough side of the sponge. This worked for me, at least.
there is probably a stove cleaner spray in ur cabinet just clean it with that as for the smell air out the house by opening the windows and spray the kichen with like febreze or something...it should go away by 3 hours
put ice on it. it will harden the plastic and you can scrape it off- smell well its gonna smell for a while-open a window if possible
welll ... more heat can melt the rest. don't know if it's gas or electric. you need not start a fire! Try a hair dryer and old rags to get the biggest goop off of everything. the rest I would turn the burner on and burn off. Simmer some cinnamon or cloves in a small pot of water to overcome the smell. Open the door or windows to get the smell out. and BE CAREFUL- not to burn yourself!
it depends on the stove top, if its porcelain (newer model with out the individual removable burner) let it cool and buff the plastic off softly so you dont scratch it. if its the older style let it cool and use some bleach, open the windows and doors in your house and boil a mixture of water and vinegar
With enough warm water to cover the melted plastic stain, add a tablespoon of baking powder, leave for 10 min´s them wash with liquid detergent. To rid the smell, put a pot on the stove , bring it to the boil, then turn down the heat and add vinegar, let the water simmer for as long as it takes to rid the smell. Just remember to keep topping up the water
1st scrape off as much as you can.
Turn the burner back on but very low heat to warm the plastic just a little, then use a scrubbie sponge to wipe it off. this may take a few tries. Use an oven mitt or hot pad or Ov-glove for protection.
Be very careful not to burn yourself!
When in doubt, leave it there till your mom gets home. She won't be mad at you, and she only wants you to be safe!
Open all the windows and turn on all the fans. Take out the trash after you cleaned up so all the burned stuff and it's smells get out of the house.
the smell stays for 4 - 6 hours, and might be toxic.
I did the same thing last week, and the fumes haven't seemed to harm me.Don't try to hide this from your mom, cause moms find stuff out anyway.
Even adults like me have mishaps like this sometimes..
