Bar Keepers Friend is not just for bars. Works wonders!
Make a paste, wet surface, and rub. Rinse promptly.
There's a product called whink, it comes in a small brown bottle. Pour it on and stain is gone immediately. Used in on my corell dinnerware, wonderful.
In the States we have two cleaners that work well for that: Bar Keeper's Friend, and Zud. I've been trying to find out if either is available in Australia for a friend there -- otherwise, we'll be mailing powdered cleanser!
