I was burned something in the kitchen by mistake! What's the best way of clearing smoke and the smell of it?
Question:I've tried odor spray and I've opened all the windows and doors but there's still a lingering burnt odor in the house. Any suggestions?
Answers:
Wipe everything down & wash what you can, open the blinds & let the sun shine in & light lots of candles. The candles will get rid of the odor for you. It is not the scent of the candle that does it but the flame. So let them burn awhile.
Odor clings to surfaces. Try cleaning the surfaces in your kitchen with a disinfectant cleaner.
fans in the windows blowing out and put a/c fan on to help

Try boiling a pot of water on your stove. Add vinegar/ lemon juice to it. Boil for an hour or so, making sure you keep the water topped off. It won't completely get rid of the smell, but it should lessen it enough that febreez can mask it!
Throw out the burnt pan/dish. Wash curtains. Oust spray. Clean out the stove. Clean behind the stove and underneath it.
boil a pot of water with cinnamon
