Putting Stretch Jeans in Dryer shortening lifespan?

Question:I just bought a pair of jeans that are 1% Spandix, 99% cotton. I'm afraid that putting them in the dryer will shorten their "lifespan" and they will loose their stretch prematurily. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Answers:
Don't put them in the dryer. You shouldnt put any jeans in the dryer. If you hang dry them it helps them retain their shape longer. Also, they wont shrink.

Yes, I feel that drying is what damages your clothing, if unsure I would just hang them outside or over the shower rod.=)
putting them in the dryer will actually make the strechy material shrink more, they will kinda smell like burnt rubber also...

when you put them on they will most likely be skin tight.. but they will stretch back out..
This can shorten their lifespan. My daughter wears "stretch" jeans and I hang them up until they're completely dry, then fluff them on low heat in the dryer for a few minutes.
