Whats the best homemade way to clean the exterior of a car?

Question:

Answers:
You will see many post that say use dish soap. Using dish soap is one of the worse things you and use if your car has been waxed and polished. It removes wax and polish very quickly and was not designed to be used for washing cars. It can even lead to damaging your car's paint job.

Just use a special detergent that you can buy at the auto parts store. It will be easier, cheaper and just as environmentally friendly.

If you don't buy this explanation, just view the web links below.

called ELBOW GREASE
dish soap. sponge. just buy them. i'm not freakin Martha Stewart here...
Well, when times are rough, I use Ajax(the dish liquid) and a lot of water. Put enough Ajax to make it have a decent amount of suds and then fill it up. Get an old rag or towel and wash it. Dry it with old towels and you're good to go.
big huge sponges.
a bucket of warm water. with a couple of drops of normal dish washing soap and a 1/2 cup of vinegar in it. rinse with clear water.
then polish with soft cloths.[ one in each hand ]

this cleaning solution is very old , very good , and as a bonus is environmentally friendly. it is also usable in all in home applications.[ walls , floors , etc. ]
happy cleaning :)
