How to clean my ballet flats?

Question:I found an old pair of satin-type material ballet flats in the back of my closet. The problem is that they smell really musty, and I don't know how to clean them without ruining the fabric. Should I throw them in the wash, or is there something else I could do?

put them in the dryer with a fabric softener sheet in side the flats one each along with a damp towel for about 25 min . this should remedy the smell and clean the out side of the flats good luck
