Funny smell?
Question:in my bedroom theres this starnge smell that i cant describe. Its abit like sweetcorn or something. There is a hamster in my room as well but it doesnt smell like hamster. There is also a large brown damp mark form where the woman who lives upstairs form me let her washing machine leak. this has been there for 3/4 weeks now. what can i do about the smell? and what could it be?

moisture- wet wood and plaster or dry wall. yuk. you can run a dehumidifier in your room when not there- move" hammy" with you.
Wow- contact the landlord- has this ever been productive? let me know. Let him know so he can check whether it has damaged any electrical wiring.

It's probably mold and it can make you sick. Your landlord needs to be contacted, immediatly.
could be the damp in the wall. I would open windows and let plenty of fresh air flow through the room, and move the hamster into another room.
I think it is the damp spot on the wall where the smell is coming from. I think the landlord should take care of this problem. The woman upstairs washing machine could still be leaking make the landlord aware of the problem.
