How do I clean a weight bench?
Question:I have a cheap weigh bench with fake leather covering the bench itself. What's a safe cleaner to use to wipe it down?
Answers:
Clorox wipes or cheap baby wipes. You should wipe it down after each use to prevent bacteria growth. If there are spots on it that need scrubbing, use dish soap in hot water to clean it up. (I used to work at the YMCA and that's what we did to clean it there. They had a spray for people to spray it with after use and the attendants sprayed it down often as well. Night cleaners actually "wet mopped" the benches every night with soapy water. Wet wipes were used if something got spilled on the bench or someone used it with dirty clothes on.)
any antibacterial soap and water then dry with a cloth
Clorox wipes work great for this. Spray it down with Lysol after each use too.
Lysol, windex, anti-bac soap & water, 409, etc..
Clorox wipes would work as would the new Clorox surface spary cleaner. Lysol would be a good second choice to Clorox products.
bleach and water. or just spray it with some lysol (pick your favorite scent) and let it air dry. That way it will be disinfected and smell nice
