Cleaning schedules PLEASE, I work part time...?
Question:Can anyone give me a SUCCESSFUL cleaning schedule? I have a 1 year old and I work 1-2 12hour shifts a week. I refuse to get a cleaning service, because I want to do it myself, so please don't suggest that! Thank you so much.

I would approach your cleaning one area at a time per day. I would also make a list daily of what you want to get done. It is rewarding to cross things off as they are finished.
Start with the one you hate the most (for me the bathrooms) and clean them one day. The next day do another.and on and on. That way each week each room gets cleaned and you have not spent all day doing it.
Laundry can be done continuously.if you just keep up with it. Fold and put away immediately from the dryer, so it doesn't pile up too.
Pitch junk mail immediately...don't let it pile up. Have a place for bills and other mail.
Okies, For starters, Each night before you go to bed get all your dishes done, so that first thing in the am you can get them put away. even if you can't keep up with them as you dirty them(if you don't have a dishwasher) then just rinse them good and stack /neatly so that when you go to wash them they are ready they aren't scattered over here and yon.
Set one day to be your laundry day and work on nothing but laundry or if you want to be constatnly doing it you could do one load a day , I prefer working on it all at once. set one day a week for dusting/sweeping/vacumning and mopping day, including bathrooms. which days you decide to do something really makes no difference, but something you could do that might make staying focused a little easier is set up a six most important things to do ist thenight before listing the most important to get done at the top. if you don't finish all six then bump the ones you didn't finish to the top of the next days list. Always include time to spend with your little one whether on an outing to the park or finding a play group to get both of you out of the house and socializing. Try not to stress ove the small things and worry about the important ones, the Great Mary Kay Ash is Qouted as saying..how do you eat an elephant? ...One bite at a time. so do a little that needs it and enjoy the rest of the day like there will be no tomorrow.
