Do you know a way to get ball point pen ink out of fake leather?
Question:It's a thick, fake leather material that I covered our kitchen chairs in. A visitor's child scribbled on one of the chairs with a ball point pen and I can't get it out. I've tried cleaners and hairspray. Any other suggestions?
Answers:
all of the answers given are good answers and do work. I have always had the best luck with alcohol.
Next try rubbing alcohol on a terry towel. That usually works, but so will WD-40 or a product called InkAway by the makers of Goo Be Gone.
home remedy hairspray or nailpolish remover break down ink put it on rub it out and wash per instructions
try rubbing with a pencil eraser. hairspray only works if it has a high alcohol(or denatured alcohol) content. If that doesnt work use cutticle remover. rub on let it sit a minute then rub.
ALL of these work better if you wipe surface with a damp cloth first!! Hope this helps!
