How do you get melted chapstick out of clothing?

Question:I was doing laundry and found a tube of chapstick in the dryer and I was thinking, "WOW, it none of the clothes has melted chapstick on it" So, the highly intellegent individual that I am I decide to open the chapstick container (hello numbnut, it just came out of the dryer) so the melted chapstick splashes all over my shirt. I like this shirt! I NEED this shirt!
How can I get it out. If it were just the oils that are in chapstick I could just use dawn but its the wax that has me stumped. It has already hardened into the fabric. Help!!

Answers:
before use do not use a flame. You can use an iron, put your stained spot between paper towels and iron regularly. The wax will absorb in the paper towel. Repeat until non shows any more, or will look like some water spots. Then use regular Woolite to wash the shirt. Next time just buy some Un-Du -candle wax remover and follow the instructions. Good luck.

that is what im trying to do! let me know when u have a solution
WD40. It removes grease of any sort, it really works great on crayons. Spray some on the spot and let it sit for fifteen minutes. Rub a little dish soap into the spot and wash as usual. It will come completely out without leaving any marks.
I think that you take paper towels, put them on each side of teh shirt on an ironing board, and try an iron on it. I think that the wax will transfer to the towels.
Your chapstick caused a petroleum based stain. I would use WD40. Take it outdoors where you have great ventilation and spray the stain with the WD40. Wait about 10-15 minutes. Now wash the item in as hot water as the fabric can tolerate with a good detergent. Good luck.
use a citrus based cleaner, whether orange or lemon, apply directly and let stand 10-15 mins, the citrus will melt or loosen the wax, then launder in warm water, hang dry. Hopefully the stains havent set by using the dryer.
I don't know if this is the correct answer, but I use dish washing detergent to get grease stains out of clothes and it works. I just put a dab on the stain.
Chapstick is waxy so try using a paper bag, and a warm iron. Place paper bag over chapstick and take the WARM iron and iron over bag. The wax is supposed to adhere to the bag. It's kinda like getting crayon out or clothes. Keep doing this till you get all you can out then try Spray n Wash on spot and let soak. Then follow instructions for washing. Hope this works. Don't hold me to it if it don't work. Good luck!!
I suggest you give it to the laundry. Specially if it a good shirt.

Wax will need melting. Hot water...hand wash in as warm water as possible without spoiling fabric or hurting the hands. I'd hold it under running hot water ; hold with a prong or something. In a clean sink.
Be careful not to hurt hands.
get your iron out i think- a med setting should be good..put an old cloth between the hot iron and your shirt and the heat from the iron will melt the chap stick onto the old clothe ..make sure as you go that you move the clothe around(to a clean spot) or you will be defeating the purpose.. if the shirt is silk,i dont know what you can do,probly not much
soak it in apple cider vinegar , then wash it again.
Try rubbing ice on it than scrape it off
scrape as much of it off as you can, once you have done that use a cup full of goo gone as an alternative to laundry detergent wash it on hot if it isn't cotton, if it is cotton wash it on cold. Before you put it in the dryer wring out as muvh of the water you can because it has the wax particles in it, once you dry it your shirt sould be good as new.
