How can I get a butter stain out of a satin dress?

Question:I have already washed it and although a bit of it came out, not a lot did.

Answers:
Try a little lemon juice. It works well at breaking up oily stains.

are you sure it's butter, and not baby batter?
try the old fashioned way, my mom always did it this way and it works.

First of all go to the supermarket and buy one of those bars of soap for hand-washing laundry, I have no idea what they are called but they are in the section with the laundry detergent. You may have seen them, they usually come in a dark yellow/orangy or milky white colour. Try to buy the white one, if not the yellow works as well you just have to rinse more. The soap only costs a few dollars and you let it dry out well and store it uncovered. One bar lasts forever (nearly).
So, first wet the bar of soap then gently rub the soap on the stain, rub gently--the garment must be dry, the bar of soap wet--repeat, wet the soap again, rub on stain on dry garment, rub the garment gently, then wash the whole thing the usual way making sure to rinse really well.

I use this process on all oil stains and it works.
SHOUT spray.
I sat a bag of buttery popcorn on my leg during a movie and when I came out of the theater I had a huge spot of oil on my pants. I sprayed Shout on it and let it set overnight and then washed my pants the next day and it came right out. If that doesn't work(which I'm 99.999% sure it will), lemon juice will help to break up some of the oil, but make sure you dont get any juice from the actual lemon PEEL in it because that actually can make the stain worse since lemon peel has natural oils in it.
Hello, totally idiotic friend of mine. =). I asked my mum about it and she gave me a couple of things to give you. One is StainDevils and she used it to get red wine out of white curtains and one is Dylon stain remover that is also quite good apparently. I'll bring them when i next see you.
I use lemon juice on satin/buttar stain.
