Housework to be done?
Question:How do you get motivated to go and do the housework? Any tips?

It helps me to get angry. The only time I ever really want to clean is when something makes me mad. Call you mother in law and ask her oppinions on something personal... your house will be clean in no time.
I have a routine for housework- starting with kitchen jobs then moving through the house. I give myself a little treat after each job, or series of jobs, to break up the monotony- this might be a cup of tea, a phone call, a quick check on my e-mails.
Sometimes I make a list and tick off each job as it's done.
These are little tips, but they work for me!!
I usually get my husband started on his half, then I start mine. No anger is necessary when the work is shared equally.

When your pet is sneezing so bad you know your housework is overdue?
When you can't see your computer or tv anymore cause you can't see past the dirty screen?
When you can't find a clean dish any longer to eat from?
When you glide into the tub from all the grease?
when your fan jams cause the gunk in it makes it not work anymore?
When you can't find the door, your keys, your cellphone or phone anymore cause of the pile up of paperwork?
When your socks or feet get so dirty and black that you don't need to wear shoes anymore cause no one would know the difference?
I turn on my stereo, put on music that is upbeat and gets you moving, turn it up loud, put cleaning supplies in hands and GO.You're already up and moving from the music, so you might as well be doing something constructive while you are. Works every time.
I normally just go crazy if it gets really messy.
I put my hair in a bandana and crank up my music. It's always best to clean while listening/singing to your music :)
Or I just ask my parents for money and I clean haha.
I clean houses and offices by the time I get to my own I do not feel like doing my house. So I put on my favorite music. I take one room at a time. Lately I am trying to keep my house tiding up so when I do major cleaning it is not so bad. Generally when I clean I start top to bottom when cleaning rooms.
Pretend that you have company coming in an hour.
