My wife melted a bra trying to Iron it this morning?
Question:My question is, How do I get the black mess off the Iron so I don't have to buy a new one??

Don't use Brillo pad ,will scratch irons surface.Use plastic coated scrubby things when iron is cool .If won't come off .Will probably have get new iron.Could try when iron is hot get old towel and put at hottest setting and iron over it and see if residue will come off.

make sure the iron is cold then use some brillo pads and abit of elbow grease, its works a treat
whats the deal with ironing a bra...come on.
gently scrape off...becareful not to scratch it. I just cant get over the fact that someone irons a bra...Who will see the wrinkles??
Don't use a brillo pad on it or any thing that will scratch your iron. There are products you can buy to clean your iron.
Go to any department store and ask what to buy.
