What is the best spot remover for old, unknown stains.?

Question:I have a few really nice summer shirts that have food spots probably. What is the best spot remover to use?

Answers:
All purpose stain remover:
First you should reactivate the stain by soaking in cold water for a few minutes, then:
Try Sugar Paste: Sugar Paste, made of sugar and water, and allowed to sit for one hour, then wash as usual. This will remove anything!!
If sugar paste doesn't work, or you'd rather try something else: One cup of Tide with two cups of White Vinegar. Blot the stain well with this solution, blot with a damp cloth and then blot with solution again, this continuous cycle will allow the stain to be pulled out over a few hours, depending on your stain.

Hope this helps!
