How can you make suitcases that have been in storage smell good?
Question:Borrowed suitcases from my Mom, she lives in an older home and I don't care for the smell. No smoking or funky body odors, just an old smell. Leaving for a trip in about 25 days and don't want my clothes to smell like Mom's. I have tried bounce dryer sheets and it is not working. Any suggestions aside from buying new luggage. Thanks

Fabreeze works wonders really. You can also rub them with dryer sheets believe it or not. My Mom actually stores her suitcases with a few dryer sheets in there keeps em from getting musty... and if nothing works... they sell Extra Large ziplock bags now. HUGE suckers and air tight... just put your clothes in there zip em up tight. Which is also good just incase your shampoo explodes or something... had that happen.. soo not fun to clean that up lemme tell ya!
You could try putting some lavender in the case...great, if you like the smell of lavender. Work's a treat.
febreeze febreeze febreeze- then put it out in the sun and let it dry out
try spraying with fabrize it will get rid of the bad smell .
Febreeze now and next time before you put them away toss a few dryer sheets in there -
try some febreze. then follow up with some fabric softener sheets.
