Question:How would I get grass stains out of my jeans? because washing it in the washer doesnt work
Answers:
Washables: Apply a paste made from an enzyme detergent, such as Wisk, and water, and let sit in a warm place for 30 minutes. Use an eyedropper to apply a solution of one part ammonia or white vinegar and two parts water to bleach any remaining stain. Rinse with cool water. Finish with a regular wash cycle.
shout is the best stain remover. it works great on clothing with hard stuff to get off
Gardensvw had a great answer, but I wanted to add just a few general comments:
1. What everstain treatment you use, either homemade or store bought (like Shout), the sooner you treat the stain the better. If you can't treat a grass stain right away, wet the area with plain water to keep it from setting.
2. Always check the stain after washing, before putting it in the dryer. Drying will set a partially washed out stain.
3. Some stains require multiple treatments. Start with your mildest method and work your way up to stronger chemicals.
Remove Grass Stains:
Sugar Paste: Sugar Paste, made of sugar and water, and allowed to sit for one hour, then wash as usual. This will usually remove anything!!
If you'd rather try something else: One cup of Tide with two cups of White Vinegar. Blot the stain well with this solution, rinse with cold water, blot again, and launder as usual.
For your Jeans:
Do not use color safe bleach, or any detergent with a bleach alternative. Instead use a regular detergent and add 1/2 cup of Borax to a load of jeans, pretreated and then washed as normal. Your jeans colors will be brighter and prevent fading.
When laundering jeans turn them inside out for both the washing and drying. Be sure not to over dry as this will cause fading.
Hope this helps!
