What is the best way to get poo out of a sofa cushion?
Question:Had a wild party, woke up, and uh oh!
Answers:
1.Kids-N-Pets -- Target, $4.50
2.Folex carpet cleaner -- Home Depot, $6.00
3.OdoBan Commercial, Germ Control -- Home Depot, $14.00 (or Lysol, any of the germ killing formulas)
Make sure to use them in that order.
#1 kills the odor, literally digests it.
#2 gets rid of any remaining color that 1 doesn't get (it might get it all).
#3 kills the bacteria - but if you can't find OdoBan, then just about any good germkilling cleaner without bleach or ammonia will do OK.
You're gonna spend about $25, but compare that to professional cleaning, replacing the sofa, or admission to a club where you could do it on their sofa, lol...
Worst situation: the cushions aren't removable.
Better: you can remove them and treat and dry them outside.
Best: the cover is removable as well and you can really get into the foam cushion (if the stain got that deep down) and rinse it and the cover in the shower or outside with a hose.
Follow the directions and you will do fine.
I'm raising a litter of cats until they get adopted out, and it's really filthy, since some of them have diarrhea. If I could only have ONE of those products, it would be Kids-N-Pets, for the odor and stains -- I use it all the time, even on sweat, blood, and food stains in laundry.
Good Luck, and Party on, lol...
I'd toss the sofa!
Time for a new sofa cushion. The chances of residual bacteria are too great. Hope it was worth it.
