How can I remove a pink tint from the white on a blue and white cotton sweater? A red shirt bled on it.?
Question:The sweater is mostly blue with a five-inch white stripe. The blue is fine, but the white is slightly pink, or peach. The stain is roughly two months old.
Answers:
go to your local grocery store, pharmacy, walmart, ect.. anywhere that sells RIT fabric dye. They make a product specifically for this, I THINK it was called Color Remover, check the back of the box. It comes in a powder form and it took 2 boxes for my red, white,&blue shirt but it came out looking as good as new! Hope this helps!!
I've had this problem before. What I have done is to get a cotton swab with bleach on the end. Dab the white area that is slightly faded. Dab right in the middle then wait 30 to 45 seconds then spray with water. The water will protect the rest of the shirt so the bleach will no go into the blue and bring back the originally white color. Good luck
