How can i renovate drinking glasses without using specialist renovator?

Question:renovating glasses removes the cloudy layer that builds on the glass especially after using a dishwasher.

Answers:
Try rubbing with a slice of lemon then rinse well

dip in white vinegar. wait a few minutes. wash and rinse.
Stop putting them in the dishwasher, The pores are being attacked by the powerful alkali. The cure is beyond your capability, It involves the use of concentrated nitric acid which you are NOT allowed to handle.
I suspect a limescale build up. Get a limescale remover for bathrooms, LimeLite or something like that. Rinse them in a strong solution. then rinse WELL in water, dry with a lint free cloth and you will be amazed at you sparkling glassware
Soak in a soap powder mixture that you would make up to do a hand wash. This works really well with glass vases that have a build up of scum in them too.MAke sure you rinse with washing up liquid thoroughly
If you use jet dry for your dishwasher your glasses won't have the cloudy layer on them.
lemon juice should work well
