What laundry detergent will leave my husbands work uniform a bit stiffer?

Question:My husbands work uniform requires that it has creases starched into it before each use. The laundry detergent we are currently using is leaving his uniform too soft- even the starch is not helping much. I obviously don't use fabric softener. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Answers:
Are you drying the uniform in the dryer? Line drying will give you stiffer results but obviously with more wrinkles. But since you need to iron the uniform anyway, that should not be a problem.

I do not know of any detergent that will make fabric stiffer. Detergent is just not made to do this. Consumers look for softness not stiffness.

Is dry cleaning out of the question? The cleaners will use a heavy duty starch and press the heck out of the uniform. Just a thought.

You can buy spray starch, Just spray it on when you are ironing his shirt , you will see the difference
You could try line drying it if that is an option.
