I used to take them down and put them in a bath of soapy water and leave them to soak then rinse them and stand them up in the corner of the bath to dry
wih a horizontal duster

If they are stained with nicotine and dirt, take them down and place them in a bath of cold water with soda, and watch the dirt rise like magic, provided they are the metallic type of course.
take them to the RNIB (royal national institute for blinds)
If its just dusty you can buy a special brush for these which is long and thin.
un-hook all the bead chains from the bottom amd put them somewhere safe then get a stool or chair unhook them from the rail at the top should be easy. then put them in a washing machine on a low wash like a wool wash SOME can have the plastic plate's taken off top and bottom first (the hook on tops and the hook on bead bits from the bootom big rectanlge white plates
Get 2 soft cotton gloves - one damp one dry. Put them on and after wiping with the damp glove follow with the dry one. This is ok if blinds are not too bad.
I UNCLIPPED THE BEADS AT THE BOTTOM, PUT THEM IN A STERILISING SOLUTION, CLOTH STRIPS WENT INTO THE WASHING MACHINE,(LOW TEMP)! WHILE STILL DAMP I GAVE THEM AN IRON AND PUT BACK ON THE WINDOW, HAVE DONE THIS TWICE SINCE NEW AND THEY CAME UP GREAT.
if really dusty wipe with soft cloth - if marked ect - call your local blind company about £2.00 per slat & they will be brand new!
take them down and fill bath with warm soapy water soak them for a bit then hang them out on line when just damp take in and iron them and rehang .alternitavely put in washer on cool wash then drip dry and iron .
mine need doing aswell ive been told to put them in the bath in warm not hot water with washing powder then hang to dry let me know how you get on i dardnt do it mine are cream but really grubby!
I put mine in a pillow case and wash them in the machine on a delicate wash. They look like new.
As some-one already said, Un hook them roll them up and place in pillow case put in washing machine on wool/delicate wash, immediately machine finishes take them out re hang them wet. They dry in no-time. I have done this on a regular basis and my blinds are fine
