Cleaning kitchen tiles.?
Question:I have ceramic tiles in my kitchen. They've become sticky and no amount of mopping will clean them. I've had them for years without a problem. I've tried normal mopping with cleaners, mopping with just hot water and scrubbing, but they're still sticky. I have the same tiles in the dining room and they are fineHelp!

Extremely hot sudsy water - use the best grease cutter you know of. Dry thoroughly, then using a good tile cleaning product with a good one half cup of methylated spirits added to the water, wash again. Methylated spirits is fantastic for tiles. It cleans, shines and assists in the drying process. This is what I use always and it hasn't failed me yet. Hope it helps you out. If it doesn't, you may need to have them professionally 'stripped' of the years of build-up and start from scratch! Good luck!
It is possible that you have a residue on these tiles or you have caused the wax on your floor to become sticky from using the wrong cleaners, some cleaner don't mix with wax I can help you remove this residue from your tiles, Use one cup of White Vinegar to a half to three quarters full of hot water then wash floor with this mixture, then rinse with warm water and allow to dry. If this method does not remove the stickiness you can then try this method use half cup of Tide detergent with one cup of Ammonia in hot water, wash with this mixture then rinse thoroughly with warm, this will remove wax buildup that has become sticky. Good Luck !
I can suggest you first buy a new mop. Mr Clean mop. hoover the floor, then with boiling hot water no detergent , mop the floor. The floor will dry fast, then check if they are still sticky. If they are do the same again and add a small amount of vinegar. Sometimes the cleaning product you put on tiles , the form that film of grease on top
try a hammer and chisel .
