if you have heat/air vents in your floor ya need to use this stuff called Bac A Zap I think you can only get it through your pest control company. And they should have told you this. Just spray it in the vents. We had a dead rat some where in our house and my husband sprayed some of that in our vents and the smell went away in like a day or two.
knock down ur walls and find the dead rat in your kitchen! JK find the dead bird in ur food

you are smelling dead animal flesh. hamburger, porkchops, mice, the cat that chased the mouse. you got to bust out kick boards under counters and look there, along with up under the apliances for "things"
or de humidify the house and let it dry up and go away on its own
this happened to me one time too. try looking behind the icebox in the drip tray. mine was a dead mouse. no telling what it could be. good luck
