Microwave odor?

Question:Hi everyone!! Real quick question and hopefully one of you will have the best solution. My roommate cooked something in the microwave the other day, and I thought the whole kitchen was on fire. Huge clouds of black black smoke filled my whole house. It wasn't foil or anything aluminum it was a piece of garlic bread.
Anyways I got it totally cleaned out, but when I went to cook something, the whole house filled with just a smell, no smoke though. Do you think there is anyway to get rid of that or should I just trash it and get a new one??

Answers:
All you need is a lemon or some lemon juice put it in a bowle with some water and a couple of slices of lemon or two table spoons and turn it on for about 5 min. this should get rid of all odor in the microwave.

In the cabinet at the top is a removable cover that houses a filter. Wash the filter and get a new roommate
put one tablespoo of cinnamon into a cup of water and put it on for about 5 minutes on high
IF IT ISN'T AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AND THE MICROWAVE IS CLEAN-PLACE 1/2 CUP OF BAKING SODA IN THE MICROWAVE AND LEAVE IT THERE UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO USE THE OVEN-AFTER USING YOUR OVEN- CLEAN AND REPLACE THE SODA. LEAVE THE SODA IN THE OVEN BETWEEN EACH USE.
Cut two lemons put them in two cups of water.
Then put the container in the microwave for 5 minutes and let it sit in there for a few more minutes.
Then use that same water to wipe out your microwave.
Hope this helps.
Just move. Why live with deadbeats like that?
set a dish of white vinegar in it. turn on for about 30 seconds.
Steps1
Place a thick slice of lemon on a paper towel and microwave it on high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Let it stand overnight or until the liquid has cooled.

Step Two
Pour 1/2 c. bottled lemon juice into a microwave-safe bowl or a 2-c. glass measuring cup (if you don't have a fresh lemon) and follow the same directions. You can also dilute the lemon juice with water and add several whole cloves.

Step Three
Wipe the microwave's insides with a paper towel soaked in a water-and-lemon-juice solution. Clean the top, bottom, sides, window, door, door seals and seams. Wipe dry.

Tips & Warnings

* Keep microwave ovens clean by wiping them out after each use with warm sudsy water (use mild detergent), then rinsing and drying.
* Never use commercial oven cleaners in a microwave oven.
Place a thick slice of lemon on a microwavable plate and cook on full power for 90 seconds
Boil a few slices of lemon in a sauce pan to absorb the odor in the air. To get the odor out of your microwave, place a bowl of water in microwave and add 3 or 4 slices of fresh lemon or 3 tablespoons lemon juice. Cook on high for 30-60 seconds.

If the odor in the microwave is very bad (or it just happened) place vanilla extract in a bowl and microwave for at least 30 seconds. Leave the door closed for 12 hours, remove the vanilla and wipe down the inside of the microwave
Clean it with glass cleaner. Works great for odors & stuck on food.
I would take lemon juice and water in a small bowl. Put the bowl in the microwave and turn it on for a minet. That should help with the smell.
Baking soda or vinegar in some water and heat to the boiling point in the microwave. Then take a sponge and wipe all of the surfaces inside. Yuck!
Hey, I believe my wife has used vinegar in her Microwave. She will clean it with vinegar and water and then she will actually put a little in a bow and turn the Microwave on for a short time. I hope it will help.
