Bed Stain?
Question:I got my period. And it went through the sheet and onto the mattress. Is there any way to get it off the mattress using house hold products?

Yes add a very small amount of cold water to the stain ,now add salt, you should see the blood lift onto the salt, leave for 10 min´s or so. like you do with any other blood stain always use cold water and salt. Normally leaving the stained object free from water then adding the salt. Once you think all the stain has been removed from your mattress, wipe with a cold water sponge. Leave your mattress next to the window, if you have a nice hot sunny day, this would help, It will dry quicker and the sun will bleach out any remaining stain´s the natural way. It should come out first time round.
Spray with some liquid cleaner and use a towel to wipe them off.
spray oxi-clean works great on blood stains.
Wow that sucks! First soak up the stained area of the mattress really good with water and blot it up with a plain white towel. It's important to treat a stain while it's still (hate to say it, but) fresh. Then wet it again and pour some salt over it. Let the salt sit a few minutes then blot it up again. It's really important to blot a stain and not rub it in. Then try some Cheer detergent. I've found that works good on stains. Or try some ammonia mixed with laundry detergent and water.
Use fresh bottle (99cents-ish) of hydrogen peroxide, which is on-shelf at any pharmacy or most grocery stores next to the rubbing alcohol. Pour a bit on the stain, wait a few seconds for it to foam up and blot up the foam with a rag-towel. Repeat until stain disappears. The mattress doesn't get very wet and it's so simple. Wish I'd known that "then". I'm 56 and just found out that some ladies keep a few underpants for that time of month when there's a possibility of leakage so all of them don't get spotty. Not every mother knows every trick in the book, so isn't it nice that you could ask this forum. Welcome to the joys of woman-hood, honey. In some cultures, there's a big celebration.
Hydrogen Peroxide!!! I've been a medic for 18 years. Peroxide is wonderful for removing blood stains.
