Dishwasher salt?

Question:do you need dishwasher salt and rinse with 5 in1 new to dishwashing lol

Answers:
The rinse water of the dishwasher is softened to prevent streaking. How do these 5 in 1 pills work?? lifes mystery, they are dissolved in the wash, yet allegedly, soften the rinse water. Pull my other leg, it has bells on it!!
Answer...YES, you do need salt.

In theory with the 5 in 1 tablets, they do contain salt, rinse aid etc, all that your machine needs.
But I still fill the dishwasher itself.
NO, YOU DONT NEED SALT OR RINSE AID WHEN USING DIShWASHER TABLETS UNLESS IT SPECIFIES OTHERWISE.
Probably not but check packet. If your dishwasher has salt and rinse aid indicator you may need to programme it to switch this facility off otherwise the machine will keep asking for you to refill these. Dishwasher was the best thing I ever bought!!
i would say so even though the tabs are supposed to do everything!, i wouldnt buy those expensive ones, i get the really cheap ones and they work much better than sun or finish!
No! you do not need anything other than the tablets
I'd still use salt if you are in a hard water area.
i live in an area where the water is soft and didn't put salt into my dishwasher but the dishes were not as clean ( that's with using 5 in 1) since putting salt and rinse in my dishes sparkle good luck
No thats what their for.
Yes you still need to add the dishwasher salt, as this reinforces the detergent.
