How can I clean my rug?
Question:I bought a thick ,white wool rug last year and now it needs brightening up. It is not dirty but has gone a bit grey in areas. It is very thick and will not fit in any kind of washing machine.
Does anybody know of a spray or something that would work?

If it is just light dirt- I always had luck with Woolite spray- spray on top lightly- then use a CLEAN sponge mop that is dampened with water and massage the woolite into the carpet- let dry thoroughly I mean 3-5 hours then vacuum thoroughly three directions - left to right right to left and corner to corner.
buy a carpet cleaner or take it to the cleaners.many clothes cleaners also do rugs.
i suggest you take it to the cleaners if they damage it you get paid the full refund and if you do it yourself and something goes wrong then theres nothing to do about it BUT if you do do it yourself i suggest you go to a carpet store and buy a special product for it so it wont get damaged
